Reactive response
Reactive response means taking action only when doing nothing is no longer an option, despite being aware of the circumstances and risks. Doing nothing is no longer an option if, for example:
- An instruction has been given by a supervisor on how to act on the behavioural risk concerned;
- Negative (social) media and/or political attention has arisen;
- Lawsuits have been instituted to cut down liabilities as well as the resulting compensatory measures for those affected;
- New legislation is underway or has already been developed to mitigate and/or control specific behavioural risks .
